Movin’ On, Penn State’s Annual Music Festival, has released its 2017 Artist Survey. The survey allows students to choose eight artists from a list of 45 that they would like to see at the spring 2017 Movin’ On Festival.
“It is imperative that we take into account the students opinions to have an idea of what the student body would like to see each spring,” says Katie Mischler, Movin’ On’s executive director.
Notable artists on this year’s survey include Mac Miller, Chance the Rapper, Ty Dolla $ign, DNCE and KE$SHA.
The survey allows students to choose three music genres from a list of eight that they would most enjoy for the festival. Students can also write in two artist suggestions if so desired.
The annual free music festival is dedicated to celebrating Penn State’s graduating seniors and is usually held the Friday before finals week. Movin’ On, now in its 42 year, has become one of the top five largest student-run music festivals in the country.
Spring 2016’s festival roster included artists Sammy Adams, MisterWives, X Ambassadors, Nelly and WALK THE MOON.
To vote for your favorite artists, take the online survey here, and keep in mind that it closes midnight on Friday, October 7.
