Youtuber Aspyn Ovard filed for divorce from Parker Ferris after a nine-year- marriage. The 28-year-old, who launched her YouTube career in 2010 is known to post beauty tips, travel and fashion. She currently has over 2 million subscribers. The couple shares three daughters together.
The Split
The Utah natives began dating in high school and were married in 2015. Ovard was 19, and Ferris was 20. The couple has previously shared a YouTube channel named “Aspyn + Parker.” In her TikTok videos, she has shared that there is societal pressure to get married, acknowledging the influential role of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Utah.
In April 2024, the couple welcomed the birth of their third daughter. However, according to USA Today, Ovard filed for divorce from Parker the same day, as documented in Salt Lake County’s Third District Court records. While fans speculated, Ovard addressed the rumors in August 2024 in a TikTok, expressing her choice to keep her divorce out of the public eye in respect for their family.
A New Chapter
In a series of TikToks, Ovard announced she was moving to Southern California while co-parenting with Ferris. She has been open about the challenges of raising her three daughters and career while navigating divorce. Fans have continued to speculate the reasons behind their divorce, as many felt blindsided.
She is embracing single life while creating entertaining TikToks for fans. In a TikTok from October 2024, Ovard posted the qualities she is looking for in her next partner. These include “Someone who does not lie for 10 years, has a job, financially contributes and does not accuse me of cheating.” Fans have theorized the genuine reasons behind the divorce, however, Ovard has explained in TikToks that she is still navigating her divorce and is not ready to share everything. Ovard has since removed the TikTok from her profile.
Fans speculated if Parker was gay, however, Ovard released a TikTok, joking she is the one open to dating. However, she has not officially confirmed the rumors. Ferris has also been recently spotted in her TikToks. Ovard has embraced freedom through TikToks, even captioning, “She might be a mama bear, but I AM MOTHER.” Fans have speculated if this is a nudge to Ferris’ mom. Ovard has not confirmed the story behind her TikTok.
The Myth of Perfect Timing
On The Weekly Trash podcast, Ovard explained that she does not plan to get remarried in the future. Life rarely unfolds in a neat timeline. Ovard is a testament that when facing tough decisions, it’s easy to feel held back by fear, uncertainty or the desire to wait for the “right moment.” Sometimes, the boldest step forward is choosing to begin, even when the path feels unclear. The time to reclaim your happiness and embrace new beginnings is not someday — it’s now.
