As the world enters the year 2021, TikTok remains amongst the most prevalent social media platforms with over 2.6 billion downloads. With that being said, there is a wide range of creators and viewers on the app which evidently formulates high volumes of influence. With that being said, VALLEY has come to the realization that beauty hacks and tips seem to be a popular topic discussed throughout TikTok videos. These videos may leave viewers wondering if the hacks and tips they are seeing are either too good to be true or the real deal.
Amongst the various beauty hacks and tips see throughout TikTok, a few that stood out to VALLEY are the sock hair curlers, using makeup for a natural look and henna faux freckles. Are these hacks legit? VALLEY was determined to find out for you!
VALLEY spoke with Sara Carrolli, Youtube and TikTok creator, who gave insight on her personal experience with trying these beauty hacks and her personal favorite.
“I have tried many of the hacks seen on TikTok but my personal favorite is the sock hair curling hack. I absolutely love it and I reviewed it on my own channel. It helps reduce the need for heating tools and it’s super quick and easy, and it really works,” said Sara. “Staying up to date with new TikTok beauty trends is so entertaining, I love finding new and unique ways to do everyday beauty techniques.”
That is a confirmed ‘Yay’ for the sock hair curling hack! As for the other beauty tips and tricks on TikTok, VALLEY has found many testimonies that can confirm that these beauty hacks do actually work. From natural makeup tricks, blending tricks and henna freckles, users on all platforms are trying out these trends that were first seen on TikTok.
The best part about a lot of these trends are that they are convenient and affordable. Expensive makeup and tools are not necessary for a lot of the beauty hacks posted to TikTok — it’s all about preference and convenience, which is ultimately the point of a good beauty hack. The affordability and convenience of these beauty hacks also make them inclusive, which is even better.
VALLEY hopes that readers will try some of these new beauty tips and hacks as we enter the new year. Tag us on Instagram, @VALLEYmag, with your favorite and most successful TikTok beauty hack!
