There’s no need to spend all of your money on expensive products and fancy beauty creams. All of your beauty quick-fixes can be found in your cabinet at home. Whether it’s smoothing dry skin, hiding split ends or thickening your eyelashes, you only need three products for a flawless beauty routine. Read on to find out what Vaseline, baby powder and olive oil can do for you.
For your body:
Mix olive oil with sugar or coarse salt and use as an exfoliator to rid of dead, dry skin.
Use baby powder under your armpits or other sweaty areas to prevent sweat from staining your favorite clothes.
Rub Vaseline onto dry, cracked skin at night and wake up with beautiful, smooth skin.
Add olive oil to a warm bath for baby-soft skin.
Spread Vaseline on your knees, ankles and hands before spray tanning to prevent looking like an Oompa Loompa.
For your hair:
Rub olive oil in your hair, let it soak for 30 minutes and then rinse out in the shower for silky, smooth locks.
Put Vaseline on your forehead before dying your hair to prevent the dye from staining your skin. Only your hair should be that color.
Sprinkle baby powder in oily hair to soak up the excess moisture. Make sure to comb it out after a few minutes though, you don’t want people thinking you have dandruff.
Spare yourself a haircut and use Vaseline on the tips of your hair to hide split ends.
For your face:
Vaseline works as a great substitute for mascara, not to mention it helps thicken your eyelashes.
Dip a cotton swab in olive oil and use it to remove make up before going to bed.
Use Vaseline as a primer for lipstick, eye shadow and blush. It prevents smudges and adds a little shine. It will also moisturize your lips – great for the cold winter air!
Smooth baby powder on oily skin to help clear up pimples and dry up excess moisture.
Spread a little bit of Vaseline on eyebrows before plucking to help ease the pain.
