The dancers of THON are one of the most important aspects of the event as a whole. Without the dancers, THON would not be nearly as amazing of an experience. They are dancing on the floor for 46 hours, which is a very grueling and extremely tiring experience, so staying entertained and even creating these sources of entertainment becomes extremely important.
This creativity shines through different outfits that the dancers wear, while on the floor. Here are a few of the best ones that Valley found during THON’s sixth hour.
Savannah Olimpo, a junior and member of Club Snowboard, was found sporting colorful leggings, a blue tutu, and an inflatable dinosaur. She says, “Although we have to sneak the dinosaur in every year, this is the fifth year of having him on the floor, so it’s become a tradition.”
Nicole Basker, a senior and member of Omega Phi Alpha, was seen sporting a festive getup of a blue and white polka dot bow, a colorful blue fanny pack, and American flag leggings.
Dana Kyle, a senior and member of A-7, is pictured wearing a blue cape and a colorful hot loop (headband), in her fight against childhood cancer.
Anshu Sinha, a junior and member of Everyday, is extremely festive in her outfit of a rainbow tutu, a propeller hat, and dinosaur taco socks.
Make sure to be on the lookout for these amazing outfits and dancers and for many other awesome and festive getups!
