With the conclusion of fashion month’s second destination, London, many trends were seen on and also off the runway. Here are some of VALLEY’s favorite street style looks for the spring/summer 2020 season fresh from the streets of London.
Patterns on Patterns
One of the most prevalent, and arguably most fun, looks seen on the streets of London was layered patterns. The outfits pictured show a casual layering of animal prints and “clashing” patterns that surprisingly look good together. This trend showcases how fashion is moving farther away from “traditional” and more into expressing oneself in a fun way.
Statement Pieces
Statement pieces are essential in any wardrobe. The statement boots photographed above add the perfect touch of personality to the otherwise sleek black outfit. Statement pieces have been seen numerous times on and off the runway this season and are an easy trend to pick up to look more fashionable for this upcoming spring/summer.
Bright Colors
What would spring and summer be without bright colors? The trend of neons and brights has made its mark on previous seasons’ styles, and they’re here to stick around. Seen above, colorful floral or solid vibrant colors add such a fun element to any outfit.
Classics … with a twist
It’s truly not London Fashion Week without classic looks. Streetwear doesn’t always have to be over the top, and London is one of the cities where understated looks are seen most often. What makes the outfits above unique, however, is the twist they take on classic looks. Bright neon touches, such as neon yellow heels and pops of color on the maxi-dress, adds the perfect amount of edginess to a traditional streetwear outfit.
