It’s no secret that Clare Crawley is the most controversial Bachelorette in the history of the show. In short, Clare has made some questionable decisions, from having contestants play strip dodgeball, to making her pick on night one within the first hour of the first episode, and it’s all gone downhill from there.
The minute that Dale walked out of the limo, Clare claimed that was the moment that she met her husband. It seems that Clare is looking for every excuse to kick off or become angry with every man who isn’t Dale. Clare has already kicked off three men outside of the rose ceremony at this point in the season.
While one of these were justified, as Yosef should not have spoken to Clare the way he did, the other two were questionable in the bachelor nation. Fans are debating whether Brandon should have been removed based on his answer that he did not know Clare on a personal level yet, or if Zach J. didn’t lean in to kiss Clare.
Now, as we await next week’s episode, we are left with the cliffhanger of all of the men catching on to Clare’s infatuation with Dale. Contestants are angry that they have not been given a fair and equal chance, and most recently, Clare spent two hours with Dale alone when she was supposed to be on a group date.
To add more tea to the pot, Clare is now claiming that she was ‘wronged’ by Bachelorette producers and was forced to leave the show early. Chris Harrison recently denied the accusations in a statement made to entertainment tonight.
“I would just say that she has complete control,” said Harrison. “This season of the Bachelorette was completely about Clare. It’s all about Clare, and she will decide where we go from here. It’s totally, completely up to her.”
However, the biggest question on everyone’s mind is why Clare wants to stay on the show if she knew that she would pick Dale from the beginning and was so vocal about it? At the end of last week’s episode, you can even hear her refer to Dale as her fiancé. So, why does next week’s preview show Clare in tears and upset that her time is being cut short?
The secret has been out for a while now that 30-year-old Tayshia Adams is coming to replace Clare as the new Bachelorette, and the same men will be competing for her attention. What we don’t know, however, is if the show will be bringing in new contestants, or even old ones who were sent home by Clare. It seems only fitting that a new bachelorette should have a fresh restart, but who knows at this point what will happen, as the entire season has been up in the air.
