She’s done it again! Emily Henry, the New York Times bestselling author, announced the title of the sixth romcom book that’s set to come out this spring. In a recent Instagram post, Henry shared that her next book is titled Great Big Beautiful Life.
Who is Emily Henry?
Emily Henry is an American author best known for her bestselling romance novels. Some of her best known works include Beach Read, People We Meet on Vacation, Book Lovers, Happy Place, and Funny Story. Henry’s romance novels catapulted into popularity once they began circulating around TikTok’s book community, known as BookTok.
In addition to being a bestselling author, Henry has also received the Goodreads Choice Award for Best Romance, for three years running.

Henry’s works dominated the book world and now are set to take on the big screen. Since rocketing to popularity, a fight between film studios broke out over who would get the adaptation rights.
Last August, Netflix announced that they would be in charge of the film adaption for People We Meet on Vacation. Along with the announcement of the adaptation, Netflix shared the casting for main love interests Alex and Poppy. Alex will be played by Tom Blythe, best known for his role in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and breakout actress Emily Bader, who starred in Prime’s My Lady Jane.
Recently, it was announced that Henry’s Happy Place will also be adapted into a series that will stream on Netflix. This announcement received some buzz when it was revealed that the adaptation would be produced under Jennifer Lopez’s company. Further details about casting have yet to be released.
Additionally, Henry’s other works Beach Read, Book Lovers and Funny Story will all be feature film adaptations. Although further details about the cast have yet to be released, the excitement for these projects is at an all time high.
What to Expect
For the past month, Henry has been teasing her fans with the title for her yet to be released work. For those who follow her newsletter, she revealed clues reporting that it will be longer than two words, hid the title in a grocery list and admitted that it starts with an adjective. Last week, along with revealing the title of the book on her Instagram, she also announced its release date: April 22, 2025.
The plot for Great Big Beautiful Life has yet to come out, but Henry did give her email subscribers a teaser. Henry shared that her new book will include similar aspects from her previous works; such as being a love story, including a vacation and involving complicated family dynamics. But, Henry also said that Great Big Beautiful Life feels like a departure and will differ slightly from her past works. The last hint that Henry gave her fans is that this book will closely correlate to a song on Taylor Swift’s Folklore album.
