From “Espresso” to Domingo: SNL’s Hysterical Bachelorette Song

On October 13, Saturday Night Live posted a skit of a group of bridesmaids, including Ariana Grande, singing to the bride with the “Espresso” song by Sabrina Carpenter in honor of the bride’s love for espresso martinis. Kelsey, who is the bride, is played by Chloe Fineman, and Matthew is played by Andrew Dismukes. Carpenter responded to this by reposting the video to her Instagram story as she enjoyed it and had always been an Ariana fan. “Very nice and on pitch,” Carpenter stated.

The bridesmaids start with Gardner’s character stating, “Instead of a speech, we’re gonna do something different for y’all because we’re a little bit creative and a little bit quirky,” instead of the people who spoke before them. They start with Ariana purposely singing badly, which makes it even funnier. “Only a person with perfect command over pitch could sing this poorly on purpose, and the Wicked actress nailed it,” NBC News stated.

They continued by singing and recounting the events of how the bride cheated on her groom on their bachelorette vacation in Charleston. The bridesmaids explain how she is dancing and flirting with a guy named Domingo, played by Marcello Hernandez.

Meanwhile, the groom starts getting upset and confused by the song. The bride, on the other hand, plays along and shows a love for the story they are singing about her.

“Hands me her ring, then we can’t find her,” Nwodim says. The concerned groom doesn’t understand why she would do that. To this, the bride responds by saying, “I just didn’t want to lose it in the hot tub.”

“Okay, now I need answers about you and whoever this Domingo guy is,” the stressed groom states.

“Look, I am sorry I met someone I connected with, but Domingo is in the past,” the bride expressed.

Leading to this, Domingo pops out of nowhere saying, “Kelsey, I’m here.” He then proceeds to sing the iconic verse that has been all over the internet…

“Hey Matt, came all this way, had to explain, direct from Domingo, Kelsey is a friend, she is like my sis, but we did hook up though,” Domingo sings while thrusting.

The video ends with the bride stating, “I hope we can still be friends” to the groom while twerking on Domingo and dancing with the bridesmaids.
