Gift Guide Based off Your Partner’s Love Language

As the holidays are coming closer and closer, it is time to start brainstorming gifts for the one you love. Depending on your partner’s personality, this experience is either a breeze or like pulling teeth.

Gift-giving can be both the best and worst part of the holiday season. The look on your partner’s face when they unwrap their gift is worth every penny, but let’s face it: Finding a unique gift is hard. Getting something that completely checks off every box and completely suits your partner is the goal. But, depending on the things your partner likes, it might take a bit more of research dedication to get them the perfect gift.

A great way to find the perfect present for your partner is diving a bit deeper into their personality, their wants and other important categories that make your partner the person they are. Specifically, finding a gift based on your partner’s love language might be the answer to the ticket item.

To make the shopping process easier, here is VALLEY’s gift guide based on the five love languages.

Words of Affirmation

Words of affirmation are very easy to translate over into a gift. Any gift that allows for your partner to pour their heart out to you will be perfect. “Why I Love You: A Journal of Us” is just one example of the many wonderful presents that let you use your words to show appreciation for your partner. You can also get your favorite phrase or a meaningful world that is exchanged between you or you partner and get it etched on a gift. You cannot go wrong.

Quality Time

If your partner’s love language is quality time, find a memorable activity that is catered towards them. People who score high in the quality time category just want to create memories that will stick with them for a while. Go ice skating, see a show or take a pottery class. If the destination you are going to is far, even better. That just means there is more time to spend with one another. Practically any activity that will bring you and your partner closer together will do for their gift.

Acts of Service

If your partner’s love language is acts of service, they just want a gift that shows you are willing to take care of them. Depending how they love to be pampered, get a gift that fits this mold for them. For example, if your partner enjoys a massage, get them a spa day voucher. If they want their hair done, a gift card for their favorite hair salon is a great choice. Just get something that screams, “ I want to take care of you,” and that will be the perfect gift.

Receiving Gifts

This category is very much self-explanatory. If your partner enjoys receiving a gift, just listen to the items that they go on about and purchase it. Have them make a wish list for you and purchase the ticket item that they have been dying for.

Physical Touch

This is the hardest love language to find a gift for, but there are still options. If you want to always feel close to your significant other, get long distance touch bracelets. These are a great way to always feel like your partner is around, even though it cannot replicate the real thing. A massage candle is also a great option. Not only is it great for mood lighting, but it also doubles as massage oil. This will be a great gift to get closer to the one you love, while being smooth and supple.
