The unpredictable fall weather has returned to State College and our time for exercising outdoors is quickly fading. For the daily gym-goers and exercise gurus, it’s time to start switching the summer workout clothes for the warmer fall trends.
Forecasts and temperature are constantly changing from hour to hour, so we looked for cute and sensible styles that allow easy adjustments according to the weather and your workout intensity.
Jackets: ‘Tis the season for quarter zips and many pockets. As we checked out the new styles of leading brands we found that the quarter zips are abundant both in colors and styles. For the more feminine athlete, look for form fitting jackets that emphasize your hourglass figure.
If you’re more of a practical athlete looking to utilize space, look for a style that has pockets along the chest and arms for easy storage of small items like keys and phones.
Pants: While cropped pants are always a go-to style, athletic leggings are making a comeback in stores. New arrivals for popular brands such as Under Armour, Reebok and Adidas include long leggings that are form fitting down the leg but slightly scrunched at the ankles for a relaxed look.
For those who prefer capris, Reebok is featuring their “Play Dry Capri” which fits loosely around the knees and provides a casual and comfortable style.
No matter if you’re enjoying the last few days to run outside or finally moving indoors, be prepared with the latest fall styles so that you not only look good while exercising but feel good too.
