House of Sunny is a London-based brand known for its trendy and bold pieces. Although they have been around since 2011, plenty of celebrity endorsements in recent years have posed to secure it as a must-have for the fashion-forward. From big names like Bella Hadid to Kendall Jenner, models have been showing off everything from the brand’s popular ‘Hockney Dress’ to their patterned cardigans and vests.
The brand heavily promotes its two annual collections on Instagram and often showcases styled pieces with mini bags and heeled boots that correspond with the season or overall message. The eye-catching looks are the brainchild of designer Sunny Williams and his creative team who have worked non-stop over quarantine to bring us Drop.02 of the 2021 Spring and Summer collection.
In addition to Sunny’s thoughtful designs, the brand is also known for its limited releases, one of the many reasons people rush to pre-order. Having smaller and fewer drops is one of the many efforts that the brand makes to practice sustainability. By announcing drops beforehand, Sunny and his team of designers only produce what they need on recycled polyester, organic cotton, biodegradable shipping bags and new technology for printing designs which can cut fabric waste by about 40 percent.
The theme of this drop is focused heavily on their signature bold graphics and decisive color choices. Taking inspiration from the 1970s messages of love and peace, several items shown on the site have imagery of psychedelic waves, peace signs and love. Following the trends of this season, the drop also includes several notes of sage green and brown. The collection is reminiscent of beach fashion with long dresses, multiple bathing suit options and a silk wrap.
For avid fans of House of Sunny, the limited and sustainable drops only add to their desirability. The current collection’s pre-order is live on the website with a promised 15 percent off to those who purchase from it. Pieces range from US sizes 2-12 and UK sizes 6-16.
All pieces above are available to purchase through the House of Sunny website. If you rock any of these new looks, snap a pic and tag us @VALLEYmag on Instagram!
