Ever wonder what you’d look like with edgy, fringe bangs like Alexa Chung or Kerry Washington? Sometimes our hairstyles are begging for an update and we look for a dramatic change. However, before you make the decision to chop your tendrils into intense bangs, fake the look first to see if you face shape will jive with the do.
Step 1: Collect and brush out all your hair from the crown of your head.
Step 2: Pull your gathered hair back and then bend it forward until your ends are at the desired length for your bangs.
Step 3: Use bobby pins to pin your folded over hair to the top of your head. This will secure the hair on your crown and allow it to fall forward like bangs would.
Step 4: Use a flat iron to curl the ends of your bangs into your forehead. This is especially important if you have dead ends. Throw a messy bun or a headband on the top of your head to conceal the pins.
Note that the bangs will look a little strange because you’re using ends of your hair. Still, this technique will give you a general idea of what you’d look like with fringe bangs.
