Missed the online sale on Penn State Athletics website? The tickets you want are gone? The football ticket process can be stressful and overwhelming for game day rookies (like me) but chances are, you can still buy them. Here’s how:
Check Student Central for availability
This is the ONLY (yes, all caps, you can look it up) Penn State-approved site for buying and selling among ticket holders and interested fans online. You will need to create an account in order to start buying, selling and forwarding tickets. The selling and buying can be arranged either online or in-person.
Ticketmaster
The ticket retail giant’s Penn State Athletics page is also an excellent place to shop for tickets last minute. You can read reviews from fans of the previous year’s games, check who is going to which games through the Facebook blurb on the right and collect rewards if you are an American Express cardholder.
Go offline
Tickets will continue to go on sale at game day ticket windows or by calling the Penn State Athletics ticket office at 800-648-8269. Individual game tickets for away games are sold at Bryce Jordan Center Gate B. Just make sure you wake up early and bring cash!
Have your friend buy you a guest ticket
If you have friends who managed to buy season tickets, shell out $30 and ask them to buy you a guest ticket on their student ID. Students can purchase a guest ticket on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays before a home game at the Bryce Jordan Center. But, guest tickets can’t be bought for big games, like Ohio State. And because your ticket is on your friend’s student ID, make sure to enter the stadium with that friend.
