There are many reasons to come visit Happy Valley during the summer. Whether it’s for Arts Fest, the Blake Shelton concert at Beaver Stadium or meeting up with best friends. But now, another reason has been added to the list and it’s pretty cool.
The Karoondinha Music and Arts Festival is coming to Penn’s Cave and Wildlife Park this summer. Held on July 21-23, 2017, the festival is only about a 30 minute drive from State College.
So, why should you be excited? Well, Karoondinha is bringing some major artists to Central Pennsylvania. You can jam out to Jon Bellion, dance to Odesza, sing with Alessia Cara and feast your eyes on the wonderful John Legend. Who knows, maybe Chrissy Teigen and baby Luna will be prancing in the crowd!
General Admission passes are on sale now. For $249 plus fees, you get access to artists performing on three stages, food and beverage concessions, art installations and much more for all three days.
If you are looking to treat yourself this summer, then the VIP Package is for you. $599 plus fees will give you access to VIP viewing areas near the stages, exclusive food vendors, a VIP merchandise gift bag and even a “dedicated on-site VIP concierge.” Of course, you still get all the benefits of a General Admission pass!
But what makes this festival different from Coachella, Lalapalooza, or the Governor’s Ball? Karoondinha is more than just music. The sponsors are calling it a “comprehensive experience.” In between acts you can take a yoga class, go on a wildlife tour, explore an all-water cave and learn some new moves at a dance workshop.
If you won’t have an apartment in State College, there is no need to worry because Karoondinha has you covered. The venue has campsites for car and RV camping. Not your style? Check out their “Glamping” package. You can rent a weatherproof canvas tent large enough to hold two cots, a queen-sized bed or two twin beds! Inside these luxurious tents you will find a furniture set complete with two chairs, a table, an area rug and lighting. Valley bets you will never want the weekend to end!
