As women, there is an unspoken rule about how our lives are supposed to go throughout our lifetime, even though it might be seen as taboo in today’s culture. You get married, have a white picket fence middle-class house that you can afford and have some babies to continue the cycle. But in today’s 21st century, women are getting just that and more.

I present to you the new-age woman who does everything and still gets what she wants without settling. We present to you, Drew Afualo, Eli Rallo and Jazmyn Smith better known as “Just Jazzy.” These three women have been taking the world by storm not only through their social media presence but showcasing the ways they found love and didn’t settle.

There’s been much controversy surrounding women who are “feminists” going down the normal heteronormative life path because of their “beliefs.” But VALLEY is here to share their stories and unpack the narratives surrounding this.

This Woman’s Work

Feminism is not a construct against men. Deconstructing how women have been oppressed by men is no easy task. Every day there is social media discourse discussing the way dating looks in today’s standards. From who takes the check on a date to “courting” aka talking stages that everyone crashes out during. Each phase of our newfound versions of love matters. However, some women are judged more harshly than others for sticking with their boundaries and sharing their standards online.

Whether they’re sharing their shitty dating stories, fighting back against sexist men who make fun of their looks or even discussing their passions and desires through writing. These women make a difference in the lives of others without even knowing it.

Drew Afualo

Well, well, well your favorite internet bro is mad once again. Drew Afualo, proud man roaster and connoisseur of all things women empowerment is engaged to her high school sweetheart. Afualo has caused a lot of discourse surrounding heteronormative marriage for the “patriarchy” and her 7-year-long dating period with her partner. But Afualo explained her reasoning for dating him that long.

Is it a shut up ring if it makes me yap even more?

Afualo has shared her relationship boundaries and thoughts on dating today. From sharing how women never settle for what they want, to dismantle theories on their relationship itself. Drew’s time has now arrived to celebrate the joy soon to come.

Jazmyn Smith better known as JustJazzyidk is the first out of three to be engaged. Her relationship with her fiance Kevin has been documented on social media but they try to maintain a level of privacy. Smith’s relationship also had controversy for an opposite reason than Afualo, dating for a short amount of time. But while the NYCInfluencersnark may talk… Smith is living her best life. Jazmyn also has a podcast with her best friend Halley where they discuss dating and their sex lives. Smith has always maintained that she wanted to get out of the dating scene and find a man that’s right for her and not someone there for convenience.

Eli Rallo

Ah, our resident lover girl Eli Rallo. The Jersey Native and best-selling author was the last out of the three to get engaged to her long-term partner. Rallo herself has written about love in her book I Didn’t Know I Needed This: The New Rules for Flirting, Feeling, and Finding Yourself, which discusses dating and romance in your young adult life. While her engagement was a surprise during a trip to London, she explained that she’ll be giving her audience a little glimpse of the festivities.

She understands her privilege in the matter she did grow up more well-off. If you know anything about Rallo she will tell you this, the love you find within a man is just as extended into your relationship with other people like family and friendships. While her wedding is being planned for 2026 and controversy arises over how much she’s spending on her day, she is ready for the wedding bells to ring.
