Movin’ On, known as one of the top five largest student-run festivals in the country, is coming back to Penn State in the Spring of 2018 for its 43rd year.
Last year, Movin’ On brought in popular artists Love & Theft, Clean Bandit, D.R.A.M., All Time Low, and Two Door Cinema Club; all thanks to the opinions’ of Penn State Students who completed last year’s survey.
To gauge where student interest lies, Movin’ On has sent out their annual artist survey for students to select which artists they would like to see perform at the concert. The link can be found here.
The annual survey gives students the chance to select up to three artists for each of the six genre categories; including hip-hop, alternative, rock, country, pop and R&B. Students are additionally given the option to submit two artists of their choice that are not included in the survey.
“Movin’ On is a festival in celebration of Penn State’s graduating seniors and is a great way to bring the Penn State community together at the end of the school year,” says Executive Director Katie Mischler. “It is imperative that we take into account the students’ opinions to have an idea of what the student body would like to see each spring.”
In the past, Movin’ On has brought in artists like Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes, Run DMC, Jimmy Eat World, Bowling for Soup, Lupe Fiasco, Ludacris, MGMT, Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, Passion Pit, and more.
This year’s survey will be open until midnight on Sunday, October 15th and students are highly encouraged to give their input.
