If you’re unsure of where to take your Valentine’s date to dinner, look no further. These four restaurants are affordable and student friendly. If you want a casual place to eat or more formal, VALLEY suggests going to one of these restaurants. According to EATER, “The most popular item on February 14 is the heart-shaped Valentine sushi roll.” With that being said, grab your date, and head downtown!

Tadashi Japanese Restaurant

This restaurant is right under The Metropolitan on 100 S. Atherton St. Tadashi has been recognized for its outstanding Japanese cuisine, excellent service and friendly staff. Their sushi restaurant is known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high-quality, fresh ingredients. This restaurant is a short drive off campus located on 1 Country Club Ln. The Field offers a farm-to-table dining experience in a warm, relaxing atmosphere. They believe fresh, local food just tastes better, which is why they use locally-sourced, fresh ingredients whenever available. These include local bread, a variety of regional Amish cheeses and their house blend of sirloin, chuck, brisket and short rib to create their hand-formed burgers. Little Szechuan

This restaurant is in the same plaza as Five Guys, located on 228 W. College Ave. Little Szechuan is an easygoing Chinese restaurant featuring homestyle Sichuan dishes in a down-to-earth setting. Their menu has a wide variety of options ranging from chili hot pot, cold appetizers, lo mein noodles, beef, chicken and more. If you are in the mood to stay in, Little Szechuan has a delivery option too!
