Owala has taken the internet by storm with its wide range of bottle sizes, from 12 ounces to 40 ounces. People love the convenience of being able to both sip and gulp from the same bottle. Plus, the brand’s marketing plays on the idea that drinking from their bottles mimics the way a koala drinks adding a fun and unique touch.
These bottles come in a wide variety of color combinations, from simple neutrals like white and grey to bold mixes of green, yellow and pink. There’s a color for every style, allowing people to match their bottles to their outfits and personal aesthetics.
The bottles also started trending when people began swapping the tops of different bottles in stores. These water bottles have gained widespread popularity online and have become a viral sensation.
When the popular brand Urban Outfitters collaborated with Owala, it took the internet by storm. Their iconic white Owala with light blue bows went viral as people rushed to buy them online and in stores.
All About the New Launch
On Jan. 25 in San Antonio, Texas, Owala held a grand unveiling of their new bottles. Covered by a large orange sheet the display caught the attention of people passing by. When the sheets were lifted four large Owala tumblers were revealed, allowing people to take pictures and check them out. This marketing stunt created a lot of excitement among Owala fans.

The cons of having an Owala for a lot of people is that theirs does not fit in the car cup holder, but a big part of this new release is that it is advertised to be able to be used on car trips. These water bottles (very similar to the Stanley Tumbler) are able to fit inside every car’s cup holder. Additionally, unlike the old water bottles, the tumbler has a much more convenient handle which helps people carry them with much more ease.
The new appeal of Owala is that it offers a wide variety of colors, while still providing all the convenience and features people love about Stanley bottles.

STANLEY

Stanley has had their tumblers around for a few years now, really skyrocketing within the past year. People have been going crazy, especially with their new collaboration with ELF. They included an add on for the Stanley which allows people to put the infamous lip oil, on the handle of the Stanley. The Stanley in comparison to the new Owala is significantly bigger, and heavier. They also have a wide variety of colors which people have been collecting!
HYDROFLASK

The Hydroflask took off in 2020, when their water bottles were infamously known for being the “VSCO girl bottle.” This brand has been around for decades and a few months ago launched a tumbler. It has a very tight seal and is significantly lighter than the Stanley. These tumblers are in very typical colors and are very minimalistic in comparison to the other tumblers.
YETI

Yeti has also been around for a long time, known for keeping your water cold. Their tumblers feature a thin handle and like the Stanley, come with a clear top. While they don’t offer an extra-large size for holding a lot of water, they do have a water jug that many athletes have been using for years.
It’s interesting to see the different variations of tumblers that have been launched in the past few years. Everyone, (especially on the internet,) has their own opinion on which is the best. Depending on your intended use, it’s all about finding the one that aligns with your needs and preferences!
