For many people who grew up in the 2000s, childhood memories are tied to a variety of shows from Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. While some former childhood stars have continued their careers in acting, others have pursued music and found success in the recording industry. One star who has recently gained popularity is Leon Thomas III. Best known for his role as Andre Harris in “Victorious,” Thomas has grown from a teen icon to an accomplished singer-songwriter and record producer. In 2025, he has achieved notable success in the R&B genre, making him a significant multi-talented artist.

Early Career

Originally born in Brooklyn, New York, Thomas began his acting career at a young age. At just 10 years old, he performed on stage as Young Simba in Broadway’s “The Lion King.” A few years later, he voiced the character Tyrone in the kid’s show “Backyardigans” on Nickelodeon. Eventually, he became well-known amongst teen audiences for his role as Andre Harris in “Victorious,” where he showcased both his acting abilities and musical talents. While his early success in acting might have defined his career, his passion for music led him to pursue singing and producing.
