Paris Fashion Week never disappoints and the Spring/Summer 2025 collections were no exception. This season, it was a city of lights and celebrities, where both established designers and rising stars showcased their boldest visions. With front rows packed with A-list names like Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman and Harry Styles, Paris once again proved itself to be the heart of the fashion world.
Saint Laurent Steals the Spotlight
One of the most anticipated shows of the week was Saint Laurent, which made headlines for more than just its collection. Decamping from its usual Eiffel Tower setting, the brand staged a dramatic show at its headquarters on rue Bellechasse. Anthony Vaccarello’s collection was an ode to Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic style, with fluid suits, blazers and glasses dominating the runway.
In attendance were Gwyneth Paltrow, Justin Theroux, Rosé of Blackpink and Zoë Kravitz. However, the most talked-about moment was Bella Hadid’s return to the runway—her first show since 2023. The buzz around her appearance solidified Saint Laurent’s standing as a leading name, even as the luxury market faces challenges.
Valentino’s Star-Packed Debut
Alessandro Michele’s much-anticipated debut at Valentino was another highlight of the week. Known for his previous work at Gucci, Michele attracted a loyal following, with Harry Styles, Jared Leto and Florence Welch taking their seats in the front row.
The collection didn’t disappoint. Vibrant colors, elaborate detailing and daring silhouettes made this debut one to remember, signaling that Michele’s creative vision will continue to evolve at Valentino.
Dior Blends Drama and Sport
Dior brought an unexpected mix of elegance and sport to its show, leaving the audience energized. Ballet-inspired bodysuits were paired with track pants and moto jackets were styled with dresses. Italian artist Sagg Napoli literally shot arrows down the runway, adding an extra layer of drama to the presentation.
This high-energy atmosphere was matched by a soundtrack featuring artists like FKA Twigs and Charli XCX. Among the guests were Rosamund Pike, Elizabeth Debicki and, in a surprise appearance, Brigitte Macron, who attended Balmain’s show earlier in the week. It was a star-studded celebration that showcased how Dior continues to push boundaries in both fashion and presentation.
Emerging Designers Shine Bright
While the major houses dominated headlines, Paris Fashion Week also provided a platform for emerging designers to shine. Alainpaul made his official debut with a ballet-inspired collection that impressed attendees.
Hodakova delivered a much broader collection, featuring her signature belt-weave accessories. Ester Manas, known for her body-positive designs, made a powerful statement with her inclusive casting and creations.
Boho Meets Ballet
Romanticism was everywhere. From delicate lace at Chloé to chiffon maxi dresses at Saint Laurent, designers embraced their brand heritage in a way that felt both nostalgic and fresh. Fringe continued to be a major trend, with variations seen in a multitude of collections.
Dior’s all-black fringed skirts and Hodakova’s fringed zippers added texture and movement to the season’s offerings. Meanwhile, ballet core made a notable return, with Alainpaul and others incorporating ballet-inspired separates and dresses into their designs.
Paris Fashion Week 2024 drew an impressive roster of A-list celebrities, creating a buzz that resonated throughout the event. Iconic stars like Zendaya and Nicole Kidman captivated audiences, while influencers such as Alix Earle and Shay Mitchell added their own flair to the front row.
The energy was electric as Drew Starkey, Ariana Greenblatt, Katy Perry and Camila Cabello joined the crowd, with many more notable figures in attendance. This further amplified the glamour and excitement of this prestigious event. Their collective presence underscored the strong bond between celebrity culture and the fashion world, making this season’s shows truly unforgettable.
Whether it was established designers like Saint Laurent and Valentino or rising stars like Alainpaul and Ester Manas, Paris Fashion Week once again set the tone for the industry. With bold collections, diverse casting and unforgettable moments, the shows have proven that fashion remains as dynamic and innovative as ever.
