Quick and Easy Gluten-Free Snacks

In an age where almost everything we eat is processed and packaged, it can be hard to find gluten-free snacks, which can make having celiac disease even more of a challenge. Even when you do find gluten-free options of your favorite foods, they can taste strange and leave you craving the real deal.

Sticking to less-processed foods can be a great place to start when cutting gluten out of your diet, but they expire much faster, which can become hard to keep up with. When it comes to gluten-free options of your favorite foods, recommendations are extremely important. Some gluten-free counterparts can taste even better than the original, and some can straight-up taste like cardboard.

It’s best to find a balance between naturally gluten-free products and glutenless versions of some foods in order to maintain a healthy, but still satisfying diet. So without further ado, here are some of the best gluten-free snacks.

1. Popcorn

Whether you prefer movie theater butter or kettle corn, popcorn is naturally gluten free and a great snack. You can make it yourself or go for the quick and easy microwave option. Popcorn is a great source of fiber and combines well with nuts, fruit or chocolate to create a great snack. Be sure to read over the nutrition label to make sure any flavorings or seasonings don’t contain gluten, though.

2. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is naturally gluten-free, but people with celiac disease may have to check for cross-contamination before enjoying the popular snack and breakfast food. Three Bears make quick and easy oatmeal cups that contain oats, flax and chia seeds. The company’s products taste great and are also all free from the top eight allergens, which is always a plus.
