With just a few months left to create your dream summertime persona, hair care should be a non-negotiable part of your beauty routine.
When there are so many products on the market, it can be challenging to choose the one that will give you the shine, thickness and length you’re looking for.
Rosemary is an age-old remedy that has been proven to show an increase in hair health, from scalp to ends. It’s an inexpensive ingredient that can be used to make your own hair growth product at home, ensuring that you get the results you’ve been looking for.

The Natural Benefits
Rosemary is known for its antioxidant properties, and when applied to the scalp in a concentrated form, these antioxidants work to improve blood flow while reducing inflammation.
The antioxidants found in rosemary work to reduce dandruff and ensure blood flow throughout the scalp, providing hair with a healthy space to grow. A study showed that the properties within rosemary increased the amount of hair strands more than minoxidil, an ingredient used in popular hair growth products. Rosemary is also a more natural and affordable substitute for minoxidil.
Rosemary is easily incorporated into any of your favorite hair care ingredients.

Incorporating other herbs throughout these oils can improve their effectiveness. A sprig of lavender or a dash of tea tree oil can do wonders for hair health. If you are looking for the benefits of multiple oils, you can alter the recipes to include more than one and create the perfect blend.
Hair oils are best used one to two times a week, gradually increasing use as your skin begins to tolerate them. Massaging the oil from the scalp to the ends ensures that the product is thoroughly incorporated throughout. For more of a spa feel, apply the oil while in the shower. The steam allows for the product to be evenly dispersed throughout the hair!
