The summer heat is here and the need for some brand new suits is real. There are so many different stores to buy swimwear, but which ones really give you the most bang for your buck?
Your summer plans may not have turned out exactly how you thought they would amid the global pandemic, but don’t be discouraged! There are still enough safe and fun things you can do while simultaneously rocking the trendiest swimwear this season.
Whether you’re looking to safely go to a beach or a lake, layout in your backyard or post a pic at the pool on the ‘gram, odds are you will probably wear a bathing suit. There’s no better way to treat yourself this summer than with some new bikinis!
These past few months have taken a toll on everyone in more ways than one, but sometimes a little retail therapy is all you need to help take your mind off things.
You’ve probably noticed all your favorite celebrities and influencers posting their swimwear fit while scrolling on social media. You’ve also probably noticed how expensive some of these swimsuits can get, but there are so many dupes to these pricier suits that will let you still show off your amazing taste without breaking the bank.
Here are seven of VALLEY’s favorite swimsuit trends that are calling your name.
1. Tie-Dye
Let’s be honest, we’ve never not loved tie-dye! With the endless amount of people dying their clothes during quarantine, what more do you expect than tie-dye swimwear, too? This bikini retails for around $175 at Frankie’s Bikinis, but you can snatch this dupe from Shein for only $12.
2. Lurex
Lurex is a super fun fabric that gives off glitter vibes without the mess. It also makes for more fun on a sunny day! It has been seen on many celebrities and Instagram influencers this past year. This one-piece is from Oserees swimwear and retails for about $315, but you can still get a similar lurex-style suit from Shein for only $12. Talk about a steal!
3. Minimalist
Less is more with this style. This multi-way bikini is from 437 and $90 for both the top and bottom. You can find a similar type of swimsuit for $14 on Zaful.
4. Retro
This swimsuit company, Bamba Swim, is all about the 80s, and this O-ring top is only proof of that. You can go back in time for a fraction of the price with this similar set from Zaful. The Bamba Swimsuit retails for about $170, but you can get an almost identical suit for only $15.44!
5. Super Chic Cutouts
This daring bikini will have all eyes on you. Model Amy Lefévre sports this $100 Frankies Bikinis suit, but you can recreate this look for $14 from none other than Shein.
6. Underwire
We’ve been seeing this trend a lot this year in swimwear. Not only is it practical and supports the bust, but it’ll flatter any body type, too. A definite win-win situation. This suit is from Tj Swim and costs $172 for the top and bottom, but Zaful once again has your back. They have an almost identical set for only $14.
7. Animal Print
Animal print has been huge this past year. You can find dresses, belts, tops, shoes and now swim in anything from cheetah print to cowhide almost everywhere. You can never go wrong with animal prints. We’ve dreamt about this cowhide print swimsuit, but definitely had nightmares about the cost. Danielle Bernstein’s store WeWoreWhat charges $190 for this set, but you can get an incredible dupe for only $10 from Romwe.
