As Halloween weekend continues, college students are scrambling to find last minute costumes to create that oh-so clever ensemble for the evenings’ affair. Valley asked people around campus which Halloween costumes they preferred the opposite sex to wear. Whether sexy, scary or silly, what you wear on Halloween night could determine who ends up approaching you before the night is over.
Most men Valley talked to shared their thoughts about the different costumes shown to them.
Steven Chepke, junior at Penn State, said he likes when girls put effort into their costumes.
“It’s cool if a girl comes in a scary looking costume, but not too scary or ‘ugly scary’ because that’s just unattractive,” he said.
The skeleton was his favorite out of the five women’s costumes to choose from because it was effortful but still sexy.
Freshmen Lauren Ebel and Daria Jacobson both liked the Cowboy costume for the men. In a seemingly unapproachable costume, these two would saunter up to the ranch man in a heartbeat.
Nic Pearson, sophomore, says he liked the Football costume and would approach her if she were at a party.
“If I was drunk I’d probably try and flirt with all of them, but I like her costume the best.”
Julie Provencher, Sophomore, says she would approach the Cowboy costume man or even a guy in the Jason outfit!
Why?
“It’s funny and I would get a kick out of talking to him,” she says. “If I found him creepy I would go back to talking to the Cowboy.”
Provencher doesn’t mind approaching the “odd ball” at the party.
Valley talked to several others around campus and these were the poll results for different costumes.
