Air Force 1s have really become a staple in a lot of men and women’s closets recently. The shoes retail for about $90, but the internet has discovered a hack to help your wallet: find the youth boys’ size equivalent to your own size. For example, if you are normally a size 8/5-9 in women’s sneakers, a 7 in youth boys sizes is the exact same. There’s no shame in saving a few dollars by shopping in the kids department.
A lot of people have found Instagram influencers and fashion sites that will showcase this average looking sneaker and transform it into a unique shoe. For example, Instagram user @onetwelves offers custom and handmade sneakers using well known designs from fashion houses like Gucci and Louis Vuitton. Leah Kirsch also has an Instagram account where she customizes these shoes with song lyrics and quotes around the sneaker.

Steve Madden released a mule that is the perfect dupe of the highly coveted Gucci mules. Not only are mules sleek and comfortable, but much like the Air Force 1s, you can dress them up or down. They are perfect for a business casual outfit, paired with tapered pants and a cute blouse. Mules also look great with a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans and a white tucked T-shirt for a simple daytime look.
