Ashwagandha Sleep Tonic
Ashwaghanda is an herb that has been used for centuries as a rejuvenating medicine. The herb can be used to reduce stress, anxiety and depression and can improve sleep patterns by reducing insomnia. The medicinal properties of ashwagandha also promote overall wellbeing and longevity.
This sweet and aromatic Ashwagandha Sleep Tonic from Ascension Kitchen, is best when enjoyed around an hour or two before bed for a relaxing night of sleep.
What You’ll Need
- 1 teaspoon ashwagandha root powder
- 1 cup and 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons raw macadamia nuts
- 1 whole Medjool date (or 1 tablespoon of raw Manuka honey)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 2 pinches of nutmeg powder
- 2 pinches of clove powder
- 1 pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 of a vanilla bean (no need to scrape)
What You’ll Do
- Add all ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth.
- Transfer mixture to a saucepan and heat to drinkable temperature on low-medium heat.
- Finish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

What You’ll Need
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ginger
