Ever since he became the third actor to play the famous role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Tom Holland has become a household name.
At the young age of 22, Holland has starred alongside notorious actors Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor and Saoirse Ronan to name a few since starting in the acting business. Even before he made his start on the big screen, he starred as Billy Elliot in Billy Elliot The Musical on London’s West End.
Since the trailer for “Spider-Man: Far From Home” dropped last week, it has beaten the Sony record for racking in the most views in a 24-hour period with a whopping 130 million views. Fans are buzzing with new questions about the trailer and how it fits into the storyline Marvel has set forth with “Avengers: Infinity War” and the highly anticipated “Avengers: Endgame.” Many fans have taken to every social media platform they can get their hands on to hash out ideas for what’s next for Peter Parker since (SPOILER ALERT) his tragic dusting in “Avengers: Endgame.”
Now that Holland has taken on the role of Spider-Man, he has since accumulated a multitude of roles that he will be portraying not only in 2019 but also next year in 2020. Some of his credits are animated roles, such as “The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle,” where he will be voicing his character alongside longtime co-star Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man).
Among his other animated roles, Holland will be starring in a new Disney Pixar movie titled “Onward” alongside another Marvel vet, Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Star Lord).
Holland is also going to be trading in his “friendly neighborhood Spider-Man” persona for a dystopian novel hero in the movie adaptation of the “Chaos Walking” series. He will be playing the protagonist Todd Hewitt with co-star Daisy Ridley from the new Star Wars movies.
As if Holland isn’t spending enough time with his Avengers co-stars, Holland will be starring alongside Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America) and exercising his acting chops even more while playing a serial killer in the movie adaptation of the novel “The Devil All the Time.”
Tom Holland has become a crucial member of this generation of young actors and is continuing to make strides in the film world. Having accomplished this much at just 22, who knows what else is in store for this amazingly talented actor?
