Throwback Thursday (#TBT) gives us the perfect excuse to Instagram those embarrassing pics of your friends from middle school, tweet about that awesome birthday party at the roller rink and post cute baby photos all over the web.
This Thursday, let’s throw back to something other than our awkward preteen
relationships, like our awesome 90’s childhood. 90’s kids, prepare for some sweet memories.
#TBT- Slap bracelets were every kid’s first fashion accessory (along with the bruises that came with it). It was always a competition to see who could slap the hardest. This trend definitely wasn’t our parent’s best idea.
#TBT – No school supplies were ever complete without colorful rainbows, sparkling unicorns or a tiger with huge, loving eyes. Every girl, maybe even some guys, went through the Lisa Frank stage. Heck, would you judge me if I never grow out of it? (Urban Outfitters is bringing it back…) Nothing brightens up a statistics notebook better than a cute kitty cat!
#TBT – I still remember my uncle asking me if my hair got stuck in an electrical outlet on Christmas morning. I learned the hard way that crimping my hair didn’t make me look like Lizzie McGuire, I just looked like a frizzball. Good thing I had a huge scrunchie to pull it all back with!
#TBT – Who loves orange soda? Kel loves orange soda! Everybody knew that
Nickelodeon shows were all that. From The Amanda Show to Rugrats, Nickelodeon knew their stuff. And you know your ultimate goal as a child was to get slimed.
#TBT – “This is a sad and funny away message. The sad thing is you’re IMing me thinking that I’m going to respond and the funny thing is that I’m sitting in front of the computer staring at the screen rolling on the floor laughing watching you IM me.” AOL Instant Messenger. Enough said.
Throw back your head and laugh this Thursday as you reminisce about the good ‘ol days, when Cory and Topanga were the epitome of true love and when Lunchables counted as a gourmet meal. If you don’t think the 90’s were the greatest years ever, just go ahead and talk to the hand (‘cause the face don’t wanna hear it). #90sKidSolutions
