The 80th annual Golden Globes hit the screens on January 10th with some never before seen styles. The event took place at the Beverly Hilton, hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael. The first Golden Globes took place in 1944 and today showcases over 27 award categories. Check out the best fashion statements from the event below.
Selena Gomez rocked a stunning mulberry colored dress by Valentino Couture. The actress received her first Golden Globe nomination this year for Best Television Actress – Musical/Comedy Series.
Austin Butler showed off a classic black and white Gucci suit and bowtie. He got his first nomination and award in the Best Actor – Motion Picture – Drama category for his role as the King of Rock and Roll.
Jenna Ortega swept the crowd off their feet in a beautiful, flowy Gucci dress. Her role as the daunting Wednesday Addams in the new television series Wednesday won her the award for Best Television Actress – Musical/Comedy Series.
Andrew Garfield displayed a simple yet dignified rust colored Zegna suit and tied the look together with a black undershirt and black shoes. The actor received a nomination for his role in Under the Banner of Heaven in the Best Actor – Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Motion Picture category.
Viola Davis wore a gorgeous royal blue Jason Wu gown with silver accessories to compliment the outfit perfectly. She has been nominated for 7 Golden Globes throughout her career and was a nominee for the Best Actress – Motion Picture – Drama category this year.
Margot Robbie wore a dazzling baby pink custom Chanel dress. The actress was nominated for Best Actress – Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy for her role in the new film Babylon.
Donald Glover dressed up in a stylish Saint Laurent suit. He received a nomination for Best Television Actor – Musical/Comedy Series for his role in the comedy TV series Atlanta.
Emma D’Arcy arrived in a chic suit adorned with a flower accent designed by Acne Studios. They received their first Golden Globes nomination as Best Television Actress – Drama Series for their role in House of the Dragon.
Anya Taylor-Joy wore an elegant yellow two-piece by Dior. She received her third Golden Globe nomination this year for Best Actress – Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy for her role as Margot in the film The Menu.
