The final leg of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour kicked off just two weeks ago on Oct. 18 in Miami Florida. Swift’s final leg of The Eras Tour is based in the U.S. and Canada, with shows in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto and Vancouver. So, what has happened so far, and what is still yet to come?
Miami night one at Hard Rock Stadium was the debut of a long awaited new “reputation” bodysuit. The original red snake bodysuit has for a while been the only outfit for the reputation set of the tour. The new bodysuit, with gold and black, was a jaw dropping moment for fans both in attendance, and watching live. Night one, also consisted of a special guest. Florence Welch came on stage to perform “Florida!!!” with Swift.
Aside from the surprises of Miami night one, the show was also a rain show, which typically end up being some of Swift’s best shows.
It seems like night one shows are always the favored performances, considering New Orleans night one, Swift brought out her friend and past opener, Sabrina Carpenter, to sing her hit songs “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” and a mashup with Swift’s song “Is it Over Now?” The New Orleans shows were held at Caesars Superdome, with friendship bracelet blow ups surrounding the stadium.
Swift’s final stop in the United States for The Eras Tour began this weekend, Friday Nov. 1st, in Indianapolis. The shows are being held at Lucas Oil Stadium. So far at nights one and two, there have been no surprises. However, Gracie Abrams, Swift’s friend and fellow singer/ songwriter, is opening for Swift for the rest of her show, so we might just see another Swift and Abrams performance one last time.
As for what’s to come in these last Toronto and Vancouver performances… I guess we will really never officially know. But one can hope! Swift has two albums left in her journey to re-record all of her first six albums. “Reputation (Taylor’s Version) and “Taylor Swift (Taylor’s Version)” are still yet to come. Fans think that Reputation will be the first album to be re-recorded, and her debut album, Taylor Swift will come last as Swift’s full circle moment.
However, fans have officially been given the release date for the Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology vinyl, coming to stores later this November.
