THE SINGLE GIRLS OF STATE: HOME FOR THE SUMMER

I have been thinking about how to make a proper introduction, one where you can truly get to know me. So here goes nothing…

Alyssa, our NOW editor-in-chief so graciously passed down this column to me — Daniella, but you guys can call me Dani. I began VALLEY my sophomore year at Penn State, and ever since then, it felt as though I had found just what I was missing.

So here I am! An upcoming Junior, the assistant web director of VALLEY and now the writer of SGOS. I am simply living the dream.

However, like Alyssa, I am also a fraud.

All my life I have been a relationship girl. But when I tell you, I have been through hell and back regarding my relationships, and I have finally mastered the art of giving the right kind of relationship advice.

And what better way than to start my first column with you all about what I do best? Going back to my ex!

I’m not sure what is in the air in my small little hometown, but anytime I step foot here, I will be seeing my ex.

Let me rephrase myself a little more, my loveable and perfect boyfriend is also my ex-boyfriend. So I may be a little bias when I tell you all that I highly recommend meeting up with your ex-boyfriend when you are home for the summer.

Being single is great, I mean I loved it when I was single, but if I had never decided to make that “hometown link up,” I would have never entered the happiest and healthiest relationship of my life.

Throughout this column, I will share how it wasn’t always happy or healthy. Most relationships go through bumps and uneasy patches, that’s how life goes. For right now, you have to learn to take the plunge.

I’ll see you all so soon.

XOXOX, Dani
