Super Bowl LVII was one for the books. The crazy twists and turns of the game, mama Kelce, Rihanna’s pregnancy reveal, and of course the commercials, made this Super Bowl unforgettable. For Super Bowl 2023, each thirty seconds of air-time cost a whopping seven million dollars! A big trend this year was putting up QR codes which led to a link to a commercial. It was an interesting concept, but it took away from some of the fun. Controversies were also set into motion, Tubi televisions “broadcast glitch,” took the country by surprise and stressed a lot of fans out. Regardless if you watched or not, VALLEY has your back this year and is recapping the top ten Super Bowl LVII commercials!
Starting off with three honorable mentions: Avocados from Mexico, Rick Astley QR code and Crowd-Strike. While these three could not cop a spot on the top ten, they do deserve some recognition. Avocados from Mexico is known for always having a fun commercial, and this year they did a Garden of Eden theme. Additionally, crowd-strike put a plot twist on the classic tale of the trojan horse, which turned out to be quite funny. And who doesn’t want to hear Rick Astley sing “Never Want To Give You Up!” With that in mind, let’s jump into the top ten commercials of Super Bowl LVII.
10. Kia – Binky Dad
In this year’s Kia commercial, audiences followed “the binky dad” on his journey home to claim his daughter’s favorite binky. It was definitely laugh worthy, watching the news and media obsess over a dad and his mission to retrieve the binky.
9. The Roast of Mr. Peanut
The roast of Mr. Peanut was a cute commercial featuring everyone’s favorite dapper peanut and Jeff Ross. Every year, Mr. Peanut surprises audiences with a new and fresh Super Bowl advertisement. In addition to the thirty second commercial, on YouTube, there is an eleven minute full roast.
8. Ant-Man x Heineken
This commercial worked almost as a two way promotion, by tag teaming Ant-Man (promoting “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”) and classic beer brand Heineken’s new alcohol free drink.
7. Rakuten – Clueless
Alicia Silverstone reprised her classic role as Cher for the Rakuten commercial. Her co-star Elisa Donovan (who played Amber) also made an appearance. It was such a fun throwback, plus there is no better spokesperson for a shopping app than Cher from “Clueless.”
6. Pepsi – Steve Martin
While Ben Stiller also had his rendition of this commercial, Steve Martin’s fun performance led the entire country to wonder: Does Steve Martin like Pepsi, or was he just acting well?
5. E-Trade – Baby Wedding
Who doesn’t love babies? E-Trade’s baby wedding looked like a night to remember, with that in mind, this commercial is quite unforgettable.

Hollywood power couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez gave audiences a well deserved treat this year. They shared their playfulness and made people everywhere crave a glazed donut! The couple is showing audiences everywhere that “America Runs on Dunkin’.”
3. T-Mobile – Bradley Cooper & Mom
Bradley Cooper and his mom stole the show during this year’s Super Bowl. As if he was not at the game (rooting for the Eagles) and giving awesome voice overs to the NFL hype videos, he also got a piece of the commercial action for Super Bowl LVII. Cooper and his mom had adorable banter in their commercial for T-Mobile.
2. General Motors x Netflix – Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell collaborated with both Netflix and General Motors for an epic commercial this year featuring Squid Games, Stranger Things, Bridgerton and more!
1. Popcorners – Breaking Bad
Say their name… Breaking Bad fans everywhere were beyond excited to see Walt and Jesse back in the action. “Breaking Bad” became Breaking Good, even Tuco couldn’t resist a piece of those Popcorners! While this commercial has been teased for weeks, it was still super exciting to see.
