Ultra—THE world premier music festival for all EDM lovers. From March 24 to 26, the most iconic annual Ultra Miami Music Festival happened and VALLEY is here to cover all the highlights.

Ultra Music Festival brought together the biggest names in house music all to one place. The three-day event had sets from over 60 djs with headliners starring Zedd, Swedish House Mafia, Martin Garrix, Tiesto, and more.

This year was Swedish House Mafia’s return to the festival after a five year hiatus. Their set list consisted of their throwbacks that contribute to their rise in house music such as “One” and “Don’t You Worry Child,” which was their closing song – a true classic.

At EDM concerts, the sets go beyond the music. A huge incorporation of what makes Ultra Music Festival so special is the lights and the stage. Everything is in sync to the beat drops and is an aspect that adds to the entire experience.

Another artist that was unforgettable was Eric Prydz. He is known for playing his HOLO set which features 3D holograms on the big screen behind him performing. It is known to be one of the most visually insane shows anyone has ever seen and of course he brought the same energy to Ultra Miami Festival.

Ultra starts during the day and ends around 12:30 a.m. Tiestö has been known to perform at sunset, and Ultra 2023 was no different. He secured his sunset slot on Saturday which created a music-perfect ambiance.  Tiestö’s set ranged from his classic hits to new remix drops with genius mixing to blend everything together. His new album, DRIVE, is fully releasing on April 21.

The artists are one part of what makes music festivals special, but the other is the crowd. The attendance for Ultra Music Festival 2023 was 165,000. This crowd goes hardcore with rave essentials and outfits. One Ultra necessity is an Anti-Theft HydroPack from Genzoutdoor. These backpacks are created for EDM events that even have a hydration attachment that makes it easy accessible to drink water while raving.  Even TikTok Miami sensations Alix Earle and Xandra Pohl brought these packs to the Ultra Music Festival 2023. These two also had a perfect range of outfits that describe EDM fashion—glitter and rhinestones galore.

EDM festivals have a different type of fashion that ranges from hair pieces, face jewels and unique pieces of clothing. Really, anything you desire to wear is accepted at Ultra. It is truly a place to express yourself beyond just the music.
