With THON 2017 right around the corner, Urban Outfitters jumped on board to help raise some awareness and some last minute funds and get excited for the big weekend. Last Thursday, students and members of the community were invited to the State College location of Urban Outfitters for UO Community Cares Celebrate THON.
For three hours, this popular downtown clothing store was offering 10 percent off full-price merchandise and 30 percent off sale merchandise with a UO Rewards card.
There was also a live performance by Urban Dance Troup and DJ Kid AV Live, along with complimentary drinks by Barranquero Café and a DIY button station.
“For the last two years, Urban Outfitters has held incredible fundraisers benefitting THON and have succeeded in strengthening the sense of community through their downtown State College location,” says Tommy Radziminski, the THON 2017 Development Director. “The UO team has always been a proud supporter of THON, and they continue to go the extra mile in creating a fun and inviting atmosphere that is not unlike THON Weekend!”
With THON less than a week away, Valley is so glad to see the community coming together again.
