Valley Pick of the Week: De Slick Makeup Setting Spray

There’s nothing more inconvenient than catching a glance of your face in the mirror during class, only to notice your eyeliner is smudged or your foundation has completely worn off – thanks to the rough Happy Valley weather. It’s frustrating to spend hours perfecting your smoky eye when its inevitable demise will come in only a few hours due to sweat and the occasional eye rub.

I expressed my disgruntlement with this problem with a friend from high school who is a makeup artist, and she knew immediately what to recommend. She told me about Urban Decay’s De Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray and I cannot thank her enough. This is without a doubt my favorite cosmetic product.  I use it when I know I’m going to have a long day of class, and I worry about all my face makeup wearing off. This spray is a lifesaver when it comes to going out at night, too. To guarantee the best, results you mist your face before and after applying your makeup. Your makeup maintains its flawless application for 16 hours even on those “oops” nights when you fall asleep with your makeup on. I can end the night with a face just as fresh as before going out.

I’m so obsessed with this product that I share the wealth with all my friends. I’ll share the spray for a couple of nights, because it’s so good you can’t live without it after one use. Another great feature is that your face won’t get oily when you use the spray. The spray is $29 for a 4 oz bottle and a great value. I’ve had my bottle for almost a year now and it’s about halfway empty. There is no reason not to give this product a try.
