The term “Woman Crush Wednesday” was created to honor strong, beautiful women who are admirable and inspirational. For Valley, no one embodies the term more than the great Beyoncé Knowles.
They don’t call her “Queen B” for nothing. Seriously, is there anything this woman doesn’t do?
Earlier this year, Bey was the star of the Superbowl 2016 halftime show, where she presented her newest song “Formation.”
Along with the song, the “Formation” music video spread far and wide across the Internet. The duo comprising of her song and video aren’t just extremely entertaining, but filled will important messages as well. Her work with “Formation” points to serious issues such as the Black Lives Matter movement, the effects of Hurricane Katrina, police brutality and the ability to be comfortable and proud of who you are.
Fans remember December 13, 2013 as the day that Beyoncé made millions of hearts skip a beat when their owners heard the news that her new album was already on iTunes. Only Beyoncé could drop her self-titled album with literally no warning or publicity, and have it climb to the number one spot on the charts.
Well, our queen may be at it again. Rumors have been circulating that Beyoncé will drop her newest album at any moment and, again, without any warning. There have also been whispers of some very interesting “collabs,” and we can’t wait to see who has had the honor of working with Beyoncé for this next album.
Starting in late April, Beyoncé will be making her way up the east coast to kick off “The Formation World Tour,” which was yet another surprise announcement after her Super Bowl halftime performance. She will hit Pennsylvania for the first time on May 31 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. She has seven more shows after that spread through Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and Michigan before saying goodbye to America and heading across the pond to bless people all across Europe with her performances.
As if her music wasn’t enough of a gift to the world, Beyoncé recently revealed that Ivy Park, her new active wear clothing line, will launch on April 14 (tomorrow!). Now you can feel as fierce as Beyoncé while you workout.
There’s no doubt that Beyoncé will continue to slay throughout 2016 and probably for decades to come.
