Unlike a typical microwave, the air fryer has seemingly unlimited abilities, from frying veggies to creating the perfect fried Oreo.

Air Fried Salmon
Salmon is a great source of protein and it cooks incredibly in the air fryer. Once you try out this recipe, it’ll be hard to resist cooking it multiple times a week. Serve it to your friends and they won’t stop asking for more.
What You’ll Need
- Salmon
- Soy sauce
- Brown sugar
- Dijon mustard
- Garlic
- Salt and pepper
- Aluminum foil
What You’ll Do
- In a bowl, stir together brown sugar, soy sauce, dijon mustard, and garlic. Add ingredients to create your own preferred balance.
- Place the salmon in your aluminum foil-lined air fryer, and season the salmon with salt and pepper.
- Coat the salmon with the sauce.
- Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes.
Crispy Brussels Sprouts
Not everyone is a fan of brussels sprouts, but it is undeniable that when they’re cooked crispy, they just hit different. Whether you throw this dish into a meal, or eat it as a healthy snack between classes, you really can’t go wrong.
What You’ll Need
- Brussels sprouts
- Balsamic glaze (Trader Joe’s has a great one!)
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Aluminum foil
What You’ll Do
- Place the brussels sprouts in the aluminum foil-lined air fryer.
- Coat brussels sprouts with extra virgin olive oil. Add salt and pepper.
- Cook brussels sprouts for about 15 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Take brussels sprouts out, and add balsamic glaze.
Sweet Potato Fries
Fries of any kind are an obvious air fryer staple. Homemade sweet potato fries in particular, are incredible using this appliance. Try it out!
What You’ll Need
- Sweet potato
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Preferred spices (Ex. garlic powder, paprika, etc.)
- Aluminum Foil
- Condiments
What You’ll Do
- Cut up your sweet potato into fry shaped pieces.
- Toss the fries in extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper, and your preferred spices before placing them in the aluminum foil lined air fryer.
- Cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes, and flip halfway through.
- Enjoy with your favorite condiments!
Zucchini Parmesan Chips
If you’re looking for a yummy and unique new snack, look no further. This zucchini parmesan chip recipe is delicious, and it’s great for a convenient snack during the school day.
What You’ll Need
- Zucchini
- Breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper
- Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- Aluminum foil
- Non-stick cooking spray
What You’ll Do
- Slice the zucchini into round chip-like shapes.
- Dip each zucchini chip into the egg, and toss in breadcrumbs and parmesan.
- Spray the lined air fryer with non-stick spray.
- Place the coated zucchini chips into the aluminum foil lined air fryer, and cook for 10 minutes at 390 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Take out the chips and add salt and pepper.
Fried Oreos
What was once a carnival food delicacy, is now something you can make at home in your apartment. These air-fried Oreos will have you impressing all of your friends, and trust us, they’re addictive.
What You’ll Need
- Oreos
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup of milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pancake mix
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- Powdered Sugar
- Parchment Paper
- Non-stick Cooking Spray
What You’ll Do
- Whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
- Add pancake mix and sugar to the mixture.
- Line the air fryer with parchment paper and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- Coat Oreos in mixture, and place into the air fryer.
- Cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until thy are golden brown.
- Garnish with powdered sugar.
